Get to know me
The seed was planted early on
Born and raised by the Red Sea, I grew up watching my mother practice yoga and marrying her love for wellness with hundreds of wellbeing remedies at home. She taught me to take care of myself young.
My twenties were spent in a demanding marketing job where thanks to long hours of sitting and typing, my wrists and back began to send signs begging for help. I joined a power yoga class in the neighbourhood. It helped my back a lot! But the spark didn't happen then.
A spark; a transition...
Fast forward 6 years, I became a mother to a little girl. This was also a time I had become a trailing spouse, in a new city, with no social distractions, or noise over what I was and not supposed to do. Breastfeeding and sleep deprivation were taking their toll on me and one fine morning I found myself with a stiff neck, alone in my apartment, unable to pick my baby. The doctor told me to try a yoga class.

It took one session, and this time, it was different. This time it felt like fire and release all at once. Between the exhaustion of new motherhood and career concerns, the only place where the world made sense to my tired body was in breaking a sweat stretching and shortening on a mat, unravelling muscular knots instilled through anger, questions, and feelings of uncertainty at the time. The more I practiced the lighter I felt, more in sync with myself. Yoga brought me back to feeling at home in my body. Soon enough I had more energy to take on what life was throwing my way.
Options started to open up in the yoga world, bringing fantastic teachers and schools my way. From then on it became clear this was what I was going to do with my life. Over the years, I continued to practice and study Hatha Vinyasa, Prenatal and Postpartum yoga, Restorative, Yin, Mindfulness Meditation, and injury informed asanas. I continue to be a student of this path learning continuously while sharing the magic of movement and cultivated stillness with the world around me.
